USAID’s Nigeria Expanded Trade and Transport (NEXTT) Program is a four year initiative supporting the Nigerian government’s efforts to expand trade volume and efficiency domestically and within the ECOWAS region. The program has identified the Lagos-Kano-Jibiya (LAKAJI) Corridor as a major artery for trade in Nigeria and is committed to the development of the corridor’s potential.

Since its launch last August, the program has been organised into three working groups – Trade, Transport and Investment Facilitation. The Investment Facilitation Working Group has the mandate to identify, develop and market the investment opportunities along the Corridor. Legacy Investment and Management, along with the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission, is organising the program’s efforts in this regard.
